Grodno, Western Belarus 2002. It was like travelling back in time for me. There I saw so many things that I had already forgotten from my childhood in communist Poland. It wasn't my first time in Grodno but this time I decided to take my old Pentacon Six and wandered through the streets shooting pictures from the camera which was hanging low and usually without even looking through the viewfinder.
Now after more than ten years as I go through those pictures, I find that I don’t like most of them. For this gallery I mostly selected the ones where I actually looked through viewfinder.
I guess it's a completely different place now ( I haven't been there since 2002). There are moments in history, turning points when time is going much faster. For ages everything is the same and then - boom - nothing's the same and you are easily adapting to the new, forgetting old.
